Start a New Fitness Class Today!

Bored of your usual exercise routine? Why not start a new fitness class today?

We all know the feeling. At the beginning of the year we set ourselves up with a gym routine, chose our plan or classes. We start feeling the benefits in our mind and body, and are motivated to go along every week. But then we hit a wall, our routine may have been interrupted by a cold or flu, a busier than normal work schedule, or we simply are getting bored with the same routine.

Maybe you just need the motivation of others working hard around you to really get you going.

Now is time to take action! Keep yourself motivated by choosing a new gym routine, new classes, or by adding a new sport to your portfolio.

I recommend you take a closer look at the fantastic offering of gym classes in your local GymPlus gym. What are the benefits of gym classes?

Fitness classes

Indoor Cycle

These classes will make you work up a sweat in no time and are a great leg workout. If you fancy high intensity while having a bit of fun, this is your class!
Core – most of us these days don’t get enough chances to work on our belly muscles, our core. A weak core leads to lower back issues and back pain over time. It can also lead to injuries elsewhere in the body as it tries to compensate for a lack of tummy muscles. I highly recommend choosing a term of this class occasionally.

Circuits

The ultimate fun workout. These classes allure to our child within while working every part of our body and really improving our fitness levels. You will do a varied programme of workouts, you won’t be bored and will feel the workout!

Bootcamp

This is not for the faint-hearted, as the name suggests. If you enjoy circuit training and have been working hard in the gym recently, why not try one of the bootcamp classes?
Boxing – here is a sport you probably wouldn’t try unless you saw a class offered in the gym. Boxing is great for fitness, strength, coordination and is a controlled way of letting go of negative emotions and frustrations. It’s ok to be frustrated at times, just box it away!

Stretch & Recovery

I love this ultimate Sunday afternoon class. Stretching is essential for healthy muscles and body. Proper stretches aid your recovery after a busy workout session or even after a busy week. Maybe you feel tired and “overstretched” right now? Do treat yourself to this active way of recovery and looking after your muscles and self.

Mat Pilates

Joseph Pilates was a physical trainer who built a programme building a strong body using your own body weight as resistance in the 1900’s. It is a popular workout to build a strong body while also making sure to stretch and not overburden your body. Pilates might be your choice over yoga if you’re unsure about the deep stretches.
