Ingredients

  • 1 large ripe banana
  • 150g porridge oats
  • 2 Tbsp quark or low-fat
    cream cheese
  • 1 Tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 Tbsp good quality
    cocoa powder
  • (1 scoop protein powder
    if you like)

    This is a handy little recipe for making easy homemade high energy snacks. You can even sneak in your favourite protein powder to give yourself a protein boost. They will keep you going longer

    High energy oaty biscuits

    Method

    • Preheat your oven to 180C fan. Place all dry ingredients into a mixing bowl and combine well.
    • Start adding the banana using a fork. Use a little less or more banana if the mixture is too sticky.
    • You should be able to form small rounds easily enough.
    • Form 15 biscuit rounds and place on an oven dish with parchment paper.
    • Make in the oven for about 15 minutes or until they turn a lovely dark golden colour.
    • Allow to cool on a drying rack.
    • They keep 3 days stored in an airtight tin.
