Please see some of our frequently asked questions below. Hopefully, we have answered your question here but if not, please get in touch by email or phone!
As an adult member, you're free to use any of our facilities at any time during opening hours. So whether that's deadlifts at dawn or a sunset swim, you're always sure of a warm welcome at Gym Plus. All the classes run by our fitness team are included, whilst any private instructors' classes are clearly marked on the timetable and swimming lessons are bookable separately. You also receive free training support when you join and a free fitness review every six weeks.
Please click here to login to your member area. Also, you can click the link at the top of the website for access, go to the account log in section, use the email linked to your account and if it is your first time to access it, click on forgot password, you will be emailed a link to reset your password. Once this is done, you will be able to view your membership, update your records and make bookings.

We hate to see anyone leave but understand circumstances change and sometimes you may need to cancel your membership. For monthly memberships, once you have passed your initial three month contract term, you are free to cancel at any time. If you would like to freeze your membership, please email or get in contact with your home club. Please note that you have a 30 day notice to cancel and that you are free to use your club until your membership expires. If you just need a bit of time off, for example for an injury or perhaps for the trip of a lifetime, then it makes more sense to freeze your membership. There is a small admin charge of €10 per month. You can request to suspend (freeze) your membership for a continuous period of at least 1 month and up to 3 months, with a minimum of 15 days' written notice to the Club.

Our swim and group exercise timetables are all available online or via the Gym Plus app.

Yes! We pride ourselves on our inclusive attitude and doing everything reasonably possible to open up access to the clubs for everybody. All our clubs are wheelchair friendly. Support and coaching from our fitness team is provided free of charge when you join, until you are totally at home in the club. You are also entitled to a fitness and workout review every six weeks. You are able to book personal training at an additional fee, if you'd benefit from a more intensive 1:1 training experience throughout your membership.
All our clubs offer more facilities than the average gym. In the Ballsbridge and Swords clubs there is a full health suite. In addition to the health club-esque facilities, we aim to take the "plus" into our service offering too — a warm welcome whenever you arrive, a personal induction programme for every member, complimentary fitness reviews and a friendly team of knowledgeable, professional fitness experts. We are a fitness club, but we're also a community.
At Gym Plus, we understand that finding the right fitness club can be a significant decision. That's why we offer complimentary tours of our clubs to all prospective members, where you'll see our facilities, including fitness equipment and group exercise studios, and meet our knowledgeable staff.
We collect personal information such as your name, contact information, and billing details when you sign up for a membership. We may also collect information about your fitness goals and preferences to help personalise your experience. We use your personal information to manage your membership and communicate with you about our services and promotions, and for internal analysis and improving our services. Please refer to the privacy policy for more information.

This applies during the children's hours, when accompanied by an adult member.
Kids will be welcomed into our family clubs (Ashbourne, Drogheda, Naas, Rathfarnham and Swords) for child-friendly activities between 10am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 5.00pm Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. In our family clubs (Ashbourne, Drogheda, Naas, Rathfarnham and Swords), we provide dedicated family changing areas, specifically for families with children under 12, and ask you to please use them. To keep everyone comfortable, we ask that over 8's use the changing room appropriate to their gender. If your child has special needs, please let us know when you arrive so we can make sure they are given due consideration and support.
Garda Vetting: we Garda vet all employees that work at our family clubs. Child safeguard: we provide safeguard qualifications for relevant employees that work in the fitness club. Gym Plus is committed to safeguarding children, working under the guidance of Swim Ireland Safeguarding Policies. A written Risk Assessment document indicates areas of potential risk of harm and required policy/guidance. The Child Safeguarding Statement is developed in line with the Children First Act 2015. Procedures cover: management of allegations of abuse/misconduct, safe recruitment, access to safeguarding training, reporting of concerns to Statutory Authorities, and a Designated Liaison Person per site (details available poolside).
Unfortunately it's not safe for us to allow members to bring their own toys and inflatables into the pool.
Kids are welcome to use the pool in our family clubs (Ashbourne, Drogheda, Naas, Rathfarnham and Swords). Our qualified lifeguards help keep children safe, and we ask that no child under 16 is left unattended in the pool, even for a moment. 0-12 yrs: a responsible grown up (18+) must be in the pool with you. 12-16 yrs: your grown up can watch from the poolside. 16 yrs+: no grown up required, but you're not ready to look after anyone else until you're 18. Large groups should have one adult for every 4 children.
Be sensitive: change in the appropriate areas and be respectful of others. Be kid smart: children over the age of 8 should use their own sex-changing rooms. Be a locker legend: secure your personal belongings, then take them home afterwards. Heads up: any belongings left in lockers overnight will be removed; Gym Plus cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to any item on the premises.
Tips for using the sauna, steam room and spa pool. Do not use the health suite if you: have heart disease, high or low blood pressure or conditions affecting reaction to heat; are suffering from infections, skin diseases, sores or wounds; have an illness causing an inability to perspire; are pregnant (without consulting your doctor first); are taking medications that make you unsure if you can use the facilities; or have had a meal or consumed alcohol within one and a half hours. Advised maximum use is 15 minutes. Look after each other: be respectful, be hygienic (shower before and after), be clean (no shaving, food, drink, body lotions or oils), be modest (swimwear must be worn). Children under 16 are not allowed to use the spa pool, sauna or steam room.
A responsible adult (over 18) must accompany children under 12 in the water at all times. Children between 12 and 16 must have a responsible adult present on poolside at all times while in the water. Store belongings in the lockers. Non-toilet-trained babies and children must wear a swim nappy. Do not use the pool or changing rooms if your child has had diarrhoea or vomited in the last 48 hours. Swimmers must use the toilet and showers prior to getting into the pool. No phones, videos or photos. No jumping or diving in. No running. No food or drink. Shower beforehand.
Arrive on time, no late entry. Inform your instructor about injuries or health concerns before the class starts. If you are new to a class, please let the instructor know. Bring water and enjoy the class.
If you are unsure how to use the equipment please ask our team. Wear suitable sports clothing and clean training shoes. Put your weights back and clean equipment after use. Train hard, scroll later — keep machines free when not in use. No bags on the gym floor. Be considerate of other gym users.

We will take a recurring card payment on the 23rd for the next month's lessons. You will be charged for the number of lessons in the next month. If payment does not go through we will attempt further recurring card payment. You will also receive an email with a payment link to fix the account. To ensure continuity of your lessons, please pay the outstanding amount within 1 week. You can also pay on the client portal or in the club.
If you cannot make a lesson for medical reasons, please email a Doctor's certificate to swim@gymplus.ie within a week of the lesson date and we will credit that lesson for you, reducing your payment next month. In all other circumstances, your child will forego their session.
Unfortunately, we are unable to hold spaces and there is a likelihood that your child's place will not be available to return to. We recommend continuing the lessons till your child has finished the programme.
Please send an email to swim@gymplus.ie by the 15th of the current month to enable us time to cancel the next month's payment. Please state your child's full name, the location and day and time of their lessons.
It will only be possible to do so if there is available space at the requested time. If no space is available, the original booking time and date will remain in place.
To keep your private lesson time slot, we require you to keep your account in credit, otherwise this time will become available for others to book. A minimum of three consecutive lessons must be booked. To secure your child's private swim lesson, payment must be made at time of booking.
We have limited spaces in our clubs for 1:1 private lessons; any available slots can be booked at the reception desk. Please note the minimum sessions bookable is three and these must be paid for in advance. The cost of a private child's 1:1 lesson is €40 for 30 minutes.
Yes, we do adult swimming lessons across all our pools. Please contact your local club for times and availability.
We kindly ask you to contact us directly by email to cancel your lesson giving more than 12 hours' notice in advance of the class time. This will result in a 50% credit being applied to your child's account, as we will still be paying the teacher for their time. Cancellation of a private lesson with less than 12 hours' notice will result in full charge of the lesson cost.
We love building relationships with local schools and regularly take groups for swimming lessons and other activities. Please contact your local Gym Plus Club.
