We are recommended to eat less meat, but unless you choose to be vegetarian having some meat in your diet is a good way of ensuring that you get plenty of high quality protein. Beef mince is a very economical and lean meat choice, especially if you buy 5% fat content. These meat balls can also be made with chicken, turkey or lamb mince.
Serve at a late summer barbeque, with a little natural yoghurt and pitta bread, with fresh pasta, or simply with a side salad.

Method
- Coarsely chop the capers and pine kernels together, add chopped chili, garlic, egg and cornflour.
- Mix everything together with the minced meat, season with salt and pepper.
- Roll into 15-20 equal size meatballs.
- Heat some oil in a pan over medium heat and fry, turning frequently, for about 5-10 minutes.
