Easy Garlic Butter Fried Kale

  • A bag of fresh kale, or as much as you can fit into your large frying pan, cut into 1cm thick pieces 
  • 2-4 cloves garlic, chopped 
  • 50g butter 
  • Salt & pepper to season 


Step 1

Wash and prepare the kale by cutting it into ca ½ inch or 1cm thick bits. Fresh young kale won’t need to be cut so finely, the older the leaf gets the finer you should chop it. 

Step 2

In a pan, warm up the butter and add the garlic, warm just enough for the garlic to start releasing its flavours. Garlic burns easily, so use low heat. 

Step 3

Now, add the kale, tossing it in the butter/garlic mixture until well covered with oil. Cover the pain and allow to fry on medium heat for 5-10 mins. 

Step 4

Serve as a super healthy, super yummy side to any main course!
