Boiled Salmon Fillet

  • 2 salmon darnes
  • 1 chicken stock cube
  • 1-2 crushed garlic cloves (you can fry this off briefly in a hot pan before adding)
  • A little freshly grated ginger
  • 1 chopped chilli
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 pepper, chopped
  • 1-2 tablespoons Japanese Rice Wine Vinegar


Step 1

In a deep pan, bring 1-2l of water mixed with the chicken stock to a light simmer.

Step 2

Add the garlic, ginger, chilli, onion and pepper. 

Step 3

Bring to the boil, and simmer for about 5 minutes to allow the tastes to mix.

Step 4

Place the salmon fillets into the water and reduce the heat to a gentle simmer. Simmer for 7-10 minutes or until the salmon fillets have cooked through

Step 5

Serve the fish with some fresh green vegetables and rice noodles.
