What to expect
Tempo Lift is a strength training class that uses low weights and high repetition to build strength and create a toned body without bulk. Although it may seem easy at first, you will be surprised at how challenging it is to pulsate a 2kg dumbbell for 45 seconds.
Using dumbells, your Gym Plus instructor will teach you the techniques you need to know to perform a variety of movements through your full range of motion. You will learn proper form through movements such as bicep curls, shoulder presses, lateral raises, lunges and toe raises. There will be shorter rest periods between sets but you will be kept motivated by our expert fitness trainers and high-tempo music.
What are the benefits
Sticking to low weights at a high repetition rate causes fewer injuries than lifting heavier one as there is less pressure on joints. This form of training also allows you to actually burn more calories long after exercising. And you can still build all-over body strength by using lighter weights.
