Berries are particularly good for your gut, they are low in sugar, high in vitamins, contain seeds rich in essential fatty acids that nourish your gut flora and gut lining, they are high in other phytonutrients. And they are low in calories, and easily bought fresh or frozen. Here, I use frozen berries.

      Method

      • Mix the frozen berries and milk in a blender until a smooth consistency is achieved.
      • Next, add oats into a sealable container such as kilner jar or Tupperware box.
      • Add the liquid, mix really well and cover.
      • Leave in the fridge overnight. When you’re ready to eat it, simply decorate it with your favourite toppings and enjoy. Can even be eaten on the go!
